Environmental health is a broad, large scale, social problem that includes concerns over air quality, the effect of climate change on health, and human exposure to toxic chemicals. This proposal focuses on fixing the use of dangerous chemicals by manufacturers in consumer products. The use of toxic and dangerous chemicals in products and manufacturing impacts human’s health. In economics, a social problem is defined as a question that needs to be considered or solved relating to human society and its members. This topic of toxic chemical use constitutes a social problem because it impacts all humans across the globe and their health. The question is what would be the best policy to combat current environmental health problems of dangerous chemical use and how can they be prevented in the future?
